Founded in 1969, Allied Electric is a multifaceted Electrical Contractor located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are experts in our trade, providing electrical construction services in an array of markets nationwide, including industrial, health care, educational, food processing, commercial, and senior living markets.
Since our inception, Allied Electric has not only grown but thrived, thanks to the expertise and longevity of our personnel. From our field personnel to the office staff, many of our team members have been a part of Allied for 20+ years. Putting Safety At The Center
Our people are our most valuable asset, and for this reason, we have committed ourselves to a culture centered around safety. We implement our safety practices in every step of the construction process, from planning to conception. The Allied Electric Safety Committee consists of personnel from all divisions of the company, including our full-time Safety Director, to actively improve and update our current practices.
From our leadership team to electrical apprentices, our safety culture is engrained in our work from day one. We have crafted an in-house safety app that holds all documentation and toolbox talks, we hold field forum meetings, and host a company-wide training day dedicated to safety. We also participate in the ABC STEP program to measure our safety performance each year.
Since 2016, our team has hosted FUSED, a bi-annual safety training and certification day for Allied employees of all electrical skill levels. We provide specialized training opportunities such as arc flash hazards, fall protection, lift certifications, and CPR + First Aid certifications.
